The Keeper of Lost Smiles is a personal fantasy tale about a peculiar man who may enter your life during a dark time, when you have lost your smile. He travels with an old, worn suitcase filled with magical words and little bottles, each one holding something special. He stays with you for a while. He arrives unexpectedly, and only he knows when his time with you has come to an end. He takes care of you with his gentle and delicate presence. He looks beyond appearances, deep into your heart. And when the time comes for him to leave, he gives you one of his little magical bottles, containing something special, made just for you. A small reminder that nothing lasts forever — except you, and the smiles you carry within you.

This is Quintessa - which means perfection. Sitting playing her harp and wearing her silver heart necklace, her time floats by with every note. I sculpted Quintessa from Warm Beige Cosclay Polymer Clay, over a wire and foil armature which I covered with masking tape. I used Genesis Heat Set paints and pastels. For her hair, I used Conker Viscose hair, which looks stunning against her outfit. I also made her harp, stool, music stand, and her solid silver heart necklace.

Ladybug Dana is a 3.5-inch, five-way jointed teddy doll with a soft silicone face, created from my original sculpt. As a silicone reborn baby artist, I wanted to bring the softness and lifelike qualities of silicone into the art teddy world. Her face is gently touchable, she can take a tiny pacifier, and her eyelashes are individually rooted for added realism. I designed and hand-sewed her body from my own pattern, filling her with sawdust and metal granulate, with silicone in her tummy for a soft, comforting weight. Inspired by my childhood love of Thumbelina, I dreamed of creating a tiny storybook creature that could exist in our world. Dana was designed as a little travel buddy, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Her magnetic ladybug wings can be exchanged for other designs, allowing her to transform into endless animal and fairy characters.

Mrs. Hudson - My First Author Doll. My first original textile doll, inspired by the beloved housekeeper of 221B Baker Street. I imagined Mrs. Hudson as a warm, practical and slightly humorous character whose dress is also a functional sewing organizer. The handmade costume combines cotton fabrics, lace, embroidery, buttons and miniature sewing accessories.
The expressive face and hand-painted details give the character a distinctive personality. This doll represents my first step into the world of original character dolls, combining textile art, miniature costume making, embroidery, and storytelling. |

A grotesque being existing on the boundary between beauty and unease. Through elements such as horns, a third eye, an eye in the palm, and a halo-like ring, I have depicted an entity that is neither human nor monster. This work gives form to that precarious boundary where beauty and the grotesque coexist.

My dolls are created entirely by hand - from the master model in LaDoll to plaster molds and porcelain casting, overglaze painting, and sewing of accessories. They are mostly strung on springs and have a highly articulated body made of Parian porcelain. The height of the dolls is 28 cm. My series of dolls is called Goddesses. I create dolls with a serious scholarly cultural subtext based on ethnography and mythology. These are not simply beautiful images, but symbols of spirituality. The Japanese Goddess Amaterasu was inspired by an exhibition in Fukushima, Japan.

The Luminary Council monitors the several magical realms to help keep the balance in our universe. It is also a place of learning for those who were called there. All who attend the council are known as Moonies. As the head of the Waning Section of the Luminary Council, it was Meerher's responsibility, being of course wiser and more knowledgeable with age and experience, to help the fledging new Moonies discover their talents.

This series belongs to my "Secret Lives of Animals" kingdom. My White Bunny Couture Series is a repertoire of OOAK 22-inch polymer clay white bunnies swathed in gorgeous OOAK antique trims and fabrics. This is a continuing series, with 13 of my bunnies now adorning a lovely bookshelf, dresser, or bed around the country. These bunnies have only one role in life -- to be extremely feminine and beautiful. They can also sometimes be a bit playfully haughty.

Winter Joy - The Joy of Winter was born to bring color, fantasy, and happiness to the cold winter days. Her stance on one bent leg conveys balance, movement, and freedom, as if she were dancing among snowflakes. The large tulle collar, the signature harlequin horns, and the geometric patterns on her outfit emphasize her playful, elegant, and theatrical character. A little harlequin that seems to come out of a story and reminds us that, even in winter, there’s always a reason to smile. She is the little ambassador of joy who came to bring color to the cold.
“Elswyth” is a hamidryad who shares her life with the ancient cedars. As a protectress of the forest and a fervent naturalist, she is called to safeguard the trees and explore the mysteries of the forest realm. Elswyth spends long hours studying in her laboratory where she carries out experiments, documents her results and stores her collection of specimens in her research repository. When roaming the forest, she records some of her observations as water color sketches using her wooden painting box which is veneered in wasp nest paper. Always prepared for new discoveries, she slings her leather explorer bag over her shoulder and journeys forth with her tools, glass jar, blank scrolls and paintbox. Elswyth stands 23 inches tall, is hand carved from solid maple hardwood and has 13 wooden, moveable ball and spring joints. Her handmade outfit, shoes and explorer bag are fashioned from textured and hand painted leather. The doll cabinet is a fully curated vignette which holds the doll and her extensive collection of handcrafted accessories and furnishings which are all created from leather, western red cedar, arbutus, bamboo, maple, and douglas fir.

Hello, my name is "Hidden". You have never seen my species before because I live deep in the ocean in an area unexplored by humans.
My coloring and texture allow me to easily blend in and hide on the dark ocean floor. Though I may appear to be cute and cuddly, I am far from it. I am an intelligent, curious predator who swims, walks on all fours, and upright. My spiked tail protects me from other creatures.

Isfrid is inspired by the landscape covered in snow that sparkles brilliantly when the sun beams shine down on it. The icicles that throws the sunlight back around it in colorful bursts. The layer of frosting that looks like nature's very own glitter. Isfrid is the spirit of winter.
She gently lulls the landscape into peaceful rest in her soft blankets of snow as she wanders through it, leaving tender footprints from her bare feet behind. When she dances across the water, ice springs from the points her feet touches the surface, creating natures dance floor so that mortals too can spin and glide over the water. She lovingly maintains winter where she goes, leaving her surroundings looking magical and breathtaking. Isfrid means ice peace, peaceful ice. |
